Vanguard has a long history of cutting the cost of investing. Every dollar your clients pay in investment fees is a dollar less in returns—and the problem compounds over time.
In keeping with our history, Vanguard Canada has reduced the Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap ex Canada Index ETF (VXC) management fee from 0.25% to 0.20%—effective November 1, 2019.
This change will make VXC one of the lowest-cost equity options in the passively managed Global ex Canada category.
But we haven't just lowered the VXC management fee. We've also altered its structure to remove a second layer of taxation. That means a lower withholding rate and more money returned to investors.
With these two changes, Vanguard expects significant reductions to the VXC total cost of ownership—an important but underappreciated facet of investing.
All costs impact your clients' returns, so it's essential to keep them as low as possible.
VXC's new look is another example of our commitment to do what's best for investors.
