Vanguard Investments Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Vanguard, manages a lineup of Canada-domiciled funds—including 40 index, active and asset allocation ETFs listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and four actively managed mutual funds.1 In addition, Vanguard provides a series of target-date funds and pooled funds for qualified institutional investors, including plan sponsors. Investors in Canada benefit from Vanguard being one of the world’s largest investment management companies and a very different kind of investment firm. The distinction stems from Vanguard’s unique ownership structure in the United States.

Rather than being publicly traded or owned by a small group of individuals, The Vanguard Group, Inc. is owned by Vanguard’s U.S.-domiciled funds and ETFs. Those funds, in turn, are owned by their investors.

This unique mutual structure aligns our interests with those of our investors and drives the culture, philosophy and policies throughout the Vanguard organization worldwide. As a result, Canada’s investors benefit from Vanguard’s stability and experience, low costs and client focus.
